Sherdley Park Golf Club is a private club, founded in 1973, that plays its golf at Sherdley Park Municipal Golf Course in St Helens. The club exists to provide organised competitive golf throughout the year on one of the best courses iin the North West. Members choose to play the main weekly competition on Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning. All members are eligible to enter all of the competitions, regardless of handicap. Members' handicaps range from 2 to 28 and most people find that playing regular competition golf improves their game. |

New members are welcome. There are no joining fees and for 2008 there is a special offer of 50% off the annual subscription! (There is also a special deal for returning ex-members. Please contact us for details.) The newly renovated Tavern/Cafe in the Park is open for business. Everybody is welcome to enjoy good food and drink in pleasant surroundings after their golf game. You do not have to be a member to enjoy these facilities: the cafe and bar facilities are open to all. The facilities are also available to hire for functions at reasonable prizes. St Helens Mayor's Charity Open Championship 2008 Sherdley Park Golf Club will once again host the St Helens Mayor's Charity Open Golf Championship on Saturday 16th August. This year there are categories for members of Golf Clubs, Societies, Sponsors and Ladies. You must be over sixteen years old and hold a valid handicap. "We did it Ourway!" The Captain's final Charity Night on Saturday 2nd February for "Children with Leukaemia", taking the total for the Captain's nominated charity to £1725 Thanks everybody. 
The Captain would like to thank the band "Top Quartile" and all who attended the Charity Night at St Joseph's Social Club on Saturday 12th January 2008. £620 was raised on the night for "Children with Leukaemia".
