Sherdley Park Golf Club is a private club, founded in 1973, that plays its golf at Sherdley Park Municipal Golf Course in St Helens. The club exists to provide organised competitive golf throughout the year on one of the best courses iin the North West. Members choose to play the main weekly competition on Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning. All members are eligible to enter all of the competitions, regardless of handicap. Members' handicaps range from 2 to 28 and most people find that playing regular competition golf improves their game. |

New members are welcome. There are no joining fees and for 2009 there is a special offer of 50% off the annual subscription which has been reduced to £125 with a £10 reduction for prompt payment! Please contact us for details.)The Tavern/"Cafe in the Park", renovated in 2008, is open for business. Everybody is welcome to enjoy good food and drink in pleasant surroundings after their golf game. You do not have to be a member to enjoy these facilities: the cafe and bar facilities are open to all. The facilities are also available to hire for functions at reasonable prizes. St Helens Mayor's Charity Open Championship 2008 Sherdley Park Golf Club once again hosted the St Helens Mayor's Charity Open Golf Championship on Saturday 16th August. The event was a great success. Thanks to all who helped run it, all those who played in it and to the sponsors who supported it.
